Won't you please entrer dans mon boudoir?
This is where my finds for this week begin. Could you come a little closer?
My finds start with rhinestones!! So glam-n-girly 1950's!
I found the telescoping cigarette holder in a thrift store for the non-thrift price of $40. Had to have it though because it matched so well with my other sparkly warkly finds *winks* The broach was $5 and the lipstick case was $12. (still had the coolest shade of red lipstick in it too!) The comb cover $14. And the Irice perfume bottle in the back for $4. Not the greatest prices maybe, but not too bad?
This rhinestone bracelet was $1 at the thrift.
This little tintype of a girl was $10. Isn't she cute?
Shown on Glory Isabella (yes I finally named her. Glory for my bestest blogging buddy Gloria! And Isabella was the favorite bloggers choice) is an old hat full of pale pink millinery flowers for $10. Necklace by cupids charm. She's making the handiest model!
They're very shabby chic dont'cha think?!
OK will you now please follow me into le salon?
Where I'd like to share with you this victorian wool jacket in quite amazing and wearable shape (If I were only small enough *winks*) for $25. I have a really beautiful victorian dress to go with it that I'll share at another time.
And I've saved what I consider the best for last...
This tapestry featuring a shepherd and his wife. I was told it's from the 1950's? I probably paid too much for it at $70, but finding anything remotely tapestry "like" around here isn't easy.
It's over 6.5' tall and 5' wide. It's a little bigger than shown because I wrapped it around my trumeau to share with you.
Lookie! Even the goats look happy!
However on a less happy note for moi..
and in the "misery loves company" category, I found my dream shabby fireplace surround... and it was already SOLD! I could've cried! This baby would've MADE my bedroom!
Just look at all that perfect shabby beau-tay!! *sniffle sniffle* I'm just a little bit sick about it. Oh well I guess it wasn't meant to be... Wanna join my pitty party? I'll bring the margaritas... As soon as I pull myself off the floor. Not that I'm not incredibly grateful for all the many lovely blessings I do have mind you *winks* I AM!
Well that's my finds for the week. Thank you for stopping by! I hope you'll come back next week for more flea market finds. I'll try not to be such a baby about things *winks* I hope you'll leave me a comment. I'd love to hear from you!
